As the sky is over everyone’s head, everyone is his family’s concern. As carelessness may lead to danger, safety can bring about joy. These impressive words are written on the slogan hung on the roadside of Suide highway at Yulin. When one is outside, safety and health is the maximum concern of his/her family. A safe trip home is the family’s maximum joy.

Too many accidents have been seen by the staff of safety management. Most of the accidents were caused by carelessness in mind. The tragedy that could have been avoided led to irretrievable results by a mere careless mistake. Cautiousness may often be forgotten after the operation becomes skillful. It may be held that violation of rules for only once will not bring about consequences. On the contrary, accidents are always caused by violation of rules.

Statistics show that 80% accidents come from negligence and violation of rules. Heinrichs Law tells us that the proportion among serious injury accidents, ordinary accidents and near accidents is 1:29:300, while the proportion of operation against rules under the near accidents is bigger.

Due to differences in economic development and social awareness, the embarrassment of domestic safety management status quo lies in the mistaken concept that safety is something that’s important to say, less important to practice and not important to heed when it’s a busy time. Luckily, people have gradually realized the importance of safety. For a man, profits would be nothing if his safety and health are not guaranteed. For a company, accident incidence is a key survey’s pole.

Yilong Corporation is a fast-growing company with vigor and vitality. Only when a safe development of both the company and employees is realized can win–win results be achieved. In a letter to the employees, the director proposed that the physical body was 1 while the fortune was 0. He proposed to put safety to the first place, emphasizing operation in strict adherence to procedures. From these, it can be seen that the company thinks highly of a safe development, of the employees’ life and health. The profit is not the sole pursuit of the company. This sets a fine example among the many domestic enterprises in China. Against the backdrop that accidents are frequently emerging, this advocacy is a fine embodiment of Yilongs assumption of social responsibilities. Isn’t it a pride and a justification to strive as an employee of Yilong?

Safety is of utmost importance. It requires us to be vigilant at any time, in any place and on any detail when we are working. It requires us to avoid any violation of rules. It requires us not to be careless or conceited and not to take chances. The hidden peril of accidents has to be eliminated in its initial state. To work happily and healthily shall be the best reward to the individual, to the family and to the company.
