Flow Scanning Imaging Technology on the Liquid Production Profile of Horizontal Well
Scope of Application:
This technology is applicable for the fl ow profi le testing of high-deviated well and horizontal well.
Principles
The fl uid scanning imager consists of fi ve micro rotors, fi ve fl ow meters and six pairs of optical and electrical resistance probes. These fi ve fl ow meters distribute perpendicularly to the direction of well axis and determine the phase velocity and layering fl ow rate accurately by motor-driven nipple scanning rotor flow meters. The six pairs of optical and electrical resistance probes measure the layering three phase holdup rate. Current passes through when the probes are surrounded by conducting mediums like water, and short circuit occurs when the probes are surrounded by oil and gas. By metering the time for circuit connection, water holdup rate is calculated.

Performance Features:
1.Calculate the real time flow rates of the three phase flow by special calculation method.
2.Simultaneous measuring by all the sensors can be realized at a same depth.
3.Operation can be carried out in wells with serious overall angle change rate due to the short instrument length.
4.Independent measurement on the fl ow rate of gas phase can be realized in multi-phase horizontal well.
Field Application
At present, the technology has been successfully applied on 18 wells with a logging success rate of 100%.
