Scope of Application 

It is used to stabilize clay mineral and protect reservoir in operations such as oil extraction, fracture, acidification, and completion protection etc. of oil and gas well.

Principles

Clay stabilizer HY-04 has outstanding performance in inhibiting the mineral hydration swelling of the clay in stratum, maintaining the stratum permeability, and preventing the formation contamination. Through the close absorption between the cationic groups on the high polymer branch and crystal layers in the clay and other mineral particles, and the synergistic effect of complex, the double electrode layer can be compressed, reducing the hydration repulsion, realizing the purpose of inhibiting the clay expansion and controlling the particle migration.

It is featured by temperature resistance, salt resistance, and acid and alkali resistance, good compatibleness, and resistance to liquid erosion.

Field Applications 

It has been widely applied for 397 wells/times in fracture, acidification and completion processes in Zhongyuan Oilfield, Puguang Gasfield and Changqing Oilfield; field application shows that it can effectively prevent the clay hydration and swelling and particle migration, reducing the damage to the reservoir stratum.
